The Certum ACME Commercial WildCard SSL certificate is issued and renewed using an ACME client, such as Certbot, acme.sh, win-acme, or the Lego ACME client. EAB (External Account Binding) is used to authorize the client with the Certificate Authority. After ordering the certificate, you will receive EAB credentials consisting of a Key Identifier (KID) and an HMAC key, which you enter when configuring the ACME client. The client uses these credentials to authorize the ACME account and then communicates with the Certificate Authority, performs the required domain validation, and handles the issuance and regular renewal of the SSL certificate. After the initial setup, the entire process can run automatically without the need to manually issue and install a new certificate.
